1. Do I require a patch test for tinting?
Yes, patch testing is mandatory for both safety and insurance purposes. Patch tests are required for general brow/lash tinting, HD brows, LVL lashes and Brow Lamination (separate test) The patch test must be done at least 48 hours before any treatments can take place and is valid for 6 months. Although we do understand you may have had a test before at a different salon, we all use different products so have to do our own. No exceptions will be made, and waiver forms are not offered.
4. Do I have to book an appointment?
We only require an appointment for our longer treatments – LVL, HD Brows and Brow Lamination. All our other treatments can easily be dropped in for (tinting requires patch test) You may have to wait a short amount of time if its busy, usually no longer than 20 mins.
2. How long does each treatment take?
The time of the procedures vary depending on what you’re having- Brow tidy: Any time between 10-15 mins, can be longer depending on the regrowth. Brow tint: Between 5-10 mins. Lash tint: 15 mins. Facial threading (top lip/chin etc.) 5 mins depending on how many areas. Full face thread: 35 mins. HD brows: 35-45 mins LVL lash lift: 1 hour. Brow Sculpt: 1 hour.
3. Do you do threading or waxing?
We do both threading and waxing. We do reccomend to all our clients to have threading as it is much more effective than the wax, and more gentle on the skin. It’s your choice what you want, so we’re happy to do either!
5. What is HD Brows?
The Brow Place has 4 fully qualified HD Brows technicians! HD Brows is a specialist treatment that focuses on every aspect of your brows from colour to shape. We consult with you about how you’d like your brows to look, discuss with you what style of brow would suit your face shape and your features, and use 7 steps to achieve your ideal brow. Once your brows are coloured and sculpted to perfection we give you the expert advice you need to keep them looking their best between appointments. We don’t usually recommend HD Brows if your brows don’t tend to grow, or you get no regrowth at all. We can only work with what you have, and if they don’t grow you wouldn’t be able to achieve the HD look. Makeup is applied at the end to create your ‘desired brow’ but only lasts until you wash it off. This treatment requires pre-booking as it takes around 45 minutes to complete, and a patch test at least 48 hours before your appointment.
6. What is LVL?
The LVL Lash Lift works by lifting/straightening your lashes at the root and tinting them to give the appearance of longer, thicker and darker lashes. The treatment takes around 1 hour and the results last around 6-8 weeks. This treatment requires pre-booking and a patch test at least 48 hours before.
7. What is Brow Lamination?
Brow lamination is a natural procedure and is completely pain free. It involves 3 solutions being applied to your brows, the first solution makes the brow softer and more flexible in order to fix them into the desired position. The second solution is applied, this one is to ‘set’ the brows and keep them in place. After that, a tint can be optionally added for the appearance of extra fullness and definition – and finally, some nourishing oil for hydration is applied. The treatment lasts around 6-8 weeks, and is completely maintenance free. Please keep in mind once you’ve booked in – you’ll need to wait 10 weeks before your next treatment to ensure you get the best results!
